About the Role

Walter P Moore seeks a well-prepared graduate from a top engineering school to join our Construction Engineering Services team, a specialized group within the Structures Group. This role involves working on projects for contractors, steel fabricators, erectors, and similar clients. You will participate in project design teams for architectural projects across commercial, sports, aviation, healthcare, education, and cultural sectors. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in our industry-leading staff development program, MOORELearning.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate structures at different stages of construction.
  • Develop construction sequencing for complex structures.
  • Perform analysis and design of temporary structures to support construction.
  • Design steel connections.
  • Support the Project Manager with strong computer analysis skills and broad knowledge in steel design.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strength in steel design, steel connection design, and structural analysis.
  • SAP 2000 modeling experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Work experience or internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors.
