About the role

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to be based in Dallas, TX. This position is expected to begin in May 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Receive continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
  • Receive technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promote quality control of all installations.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by Field Management.
  • Assist with compliance of the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
  • Work with document control systems, project management systems, and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate, including but not limited to updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and other documents as required.
  • When requested, interface with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large complex projects.
  • Applicable OSHA certification(s).
  • Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.
  • Prior Internship experience within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit, and Construction Management Software.
