Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

About the Role

A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Lab.
  • Reading relevant literature.
  • Entering data, preparing graphs, and reports for lab meetings.
  • Mouse experiments and handling.
  • Tissue removal and dissection.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed the first year of MSSRP and approved via mentor in the program.

Pay

Pay Grade Minimum: 10
Pay Grade Maximum: 25
Pay Basis: Hourly
