About the role
North Park University, a Christian university affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church, is seeking a Men's and Women's Golf Graduate Assistant Coach. The assistantship begins in August 2025 and includes tuition remission, a partial meal plan, and a $3,000 stipend per semester.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the men's and women's golf programs at North Park University
- Aid in all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting
- Ensure a commitment to the academic success of golf student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior
- Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community
- Manage equipment usage
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Playing experience is not required, but applicants should have general golf knowledge
- Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program
- Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends)
- Able to lift and move athletic equipment
- Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane
- A valid driver's license is required
- Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park's mission of Christian higher education
