Graduate Assistant: Golf Operations

About the role

North Park University, a Christian university affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church, is seeking a Men's and Women's Golf Graduate Assistant Coach. The assistantship begins in August 2025 and includes tuition remission, a partial meal plan, and a $3,000 stipend per semester.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the men's and women's golf programs at North Park University
• Aid in all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting
• Ensure a commitment to the academic success of golf student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior
• Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community
• Manage equipment usage
• Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required
• Playing experience is not required, but applicants should have general golf knowledge
• Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program
• Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends)
• Able to lift and move athletic equipment
• Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane
• A valid driver's license is required
• Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park's mission of Christian higher education
