Grade Superintendent

About the role

E.S. Wagner Company is seeking a Grade Superintendent to join its team of construction professionals.

Responsibilities

• Direct grading activities, including clearing, excavation, and earthwork, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Ensure the work, personnel, and equipment are accurately planned and executed.
• Inspect work-in-progress to ensure work conforms to specifications and plans.
• Plan and coordinate Foreman’s responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years grading related experience
• Knowledge of survey controls and grade checking
• Proficiency with Intelligent GPS machine grade controls and automatics (preferred)
• Certification in reading civil construction plans
• Strong preference for DOT/roadway experience
• Experience with: excavation, linear grading, drainage, soil stabilization, finish grading, aggregate bases
