About the Role
Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School is seeking a passionate, faith-filled Second Grade Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and dedicated to forming young disciples of Christ. Second grade is a special year in our school community as students prepare to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with diocesan curriculum standards.
- Prepare students spiritually and academically for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in collaboration with the parish and families.
- Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and Gospel values throughout daily instruction.
- Foster a classroom environment rooted in kindness, respect, and academic excellence.
- Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parish staff.
- Participate in school Masses, prayer services, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
Requirements
- Must be a practicing Catholic committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred).
- Pennsylvania teaching certification (or eligibility).
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
