About the Role

Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School is seeking a passionate, faith-filled Second Grade Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and dedicated to forming young disciples of Christ. Second grade is a special year in our school community as students prepare to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with diocesan curriculum standards.
• Prepare students spiritually and academically for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in collaboration with the parish and families.
• Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and Gospel values throughout daily instruction.
• Foster a classroom environment rooted in kindness, respect, and academic excellence.
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parish staff.
• Participate in school Masses, prayer services, faculty meetings, and school events.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.

Requirements

• Must be a practicing Catholic committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred).
• Pennsylvania teaching certification (or eligibility).
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• A passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
