Grad Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and safe, accurate dispensing
• Assist with patient safety and error prevention, quality assurance, and DUR
• Operate as part of the pharmacy team, applying SOPs and communicating effectively
• Provide empathetic and caring service, offering immunizations, and managing patient health
• Contribute to a high-performing team, remaining flexible, and seeking opportunities for growth
• Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations, as permitted by law and training

Requirements

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to starting post-graduate training at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
• Customer service and team orientation: actively helping people and responding appropriately
• Communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication
• Mathematical reasoning: using math to solve problems
• Problem resolution: identifying and resolving challenging interactions
• Physical demands: being mobile and upright for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
