Grad Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting, applying theoretical knowledge from pharmacy school to real-world scenarios. The Intern will be part of a dynamic team committed to enhancing patient care and improving the health care system.

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and accurate dispensing
• Provide empathetic and caring service to patients, including offering vaccinations and other services
• Contribute to positive patient experiences through proactive communication and problem-solving
• Operate as part of the pharmacy team, adhering to standard operating procedures and best practices
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace culture, fostering a sense of belonging among team members
• Support management, oversight, and operations within the pharmacy, including immunizations and point-of-care testing
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Requirements

• PharmD graduate from an accredited program
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over extended periods
• Communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical reasoning to solve problems related to prescription dispensing
• Problem resolution to handle challenging patient or colleague interactions
• Physical demands to move items between low and high positions, lift up to 20 lbs, and bend, stretch, and reach

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

The typical pay range for this role is $24.25 - $42.00 per hour.
