Gourmandie Crew - Returning Staff ONLY Summer 2026

Position Summary

The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer's Village. The Clerk is responsible for both guest facing and back of house food prep. Please note: Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, offering exceptional guest service.
• Take customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
• Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
• Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
• Aiding with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas clean and organized.
• Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.

Specific Job Skills

• SafeServe certification preferred and Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred
• Point of Sale computer system familiarity, Cash handling skills
• Able to walk/stand for a full shift (potentially for up to 10 hours), lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional

• Comfortable around sharp kitchen equipment

Education/Related Experience

• Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication.
• High School or GED preferred
• Minimum time in related position - 6 months in food retail preferred
