About the role
A ten-week summer music ministry team consisting of seven to nine individuals who travel across the country serving in churches, schools, camps, and conferences. The team ministers through vocal music, drama, testimonies, and musical instruments, fostering unity, lifelong friendships, and daily service to the Body of Christ.
Responsibilities
- Perform vocal music as the primary program content
- Minister through drama and personal testimonies
- Play musical instruments as part of the program
- Serve in churches, schools, camps, and conferences during a 10-week summer tour
- Participate in chapels, missions conferences, Christmas concerts, spring music festivals, spring Bible conferences, and ladies conferences
- Rehearse 3 hours per week during the spring semester
Requirements
- Audition in the fall semester
- Rehearse and prepare during the spring semester
- Some musical skill (though not required to be a Music major)
- Commit to a 10-week summer tour
Qualifications
- Open to all students, regardless of major
- Team size: 6-8 vocalists and 1 accompanist
- Participants receive 1 hour of academic credit in the spring semester
