Google Cloud Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Security Engineer to support a leading cybersecurity consulting firm delivering cloud security, compliance, and risk advisory services for enterprise organizations.. This is a fully remote position. Our client is building a strategic Google Cloud Professional Services practice focused on delivering security implementation services for enterprise customers. This team partners closely with Google to deploy cloud security solutions across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping customers strengthen their cloud security posture through architecture, implementation, and security best practices. This is a customer-facing consulting role where you'll work alongside Google Professional Services on cloud security implementations, Security Command Center (SCC) deployments, Identity & Access Management (IAM), cloud networking security, and broader Google Cloud security initiatives. Responsibilities of the Google Cloud Security Engineer: Design and implement GCP security solutions for enterprise customers.Deploy and configure Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC).Configure Google Cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege access.Implement GCP networking security, including VPCs, firewall rules, and network segmentation.Perform cloud security posture assessments and remediation.Design secure cloud architectures aligned with Google best practices.Support Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.Partner with Google Professional Services and customer stakeholders throughout implementations.Lead customer workshops, technical discussions, and knowledge transfer.Produce implementation documentation and technical guides.Stay current on Google Cloud security technologies and best practices. Qualifications for the Google Cloud Security Engineer: Hands-on experience implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security solutions.Experience deploying Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC).Strong knowledge of Google Cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege access.Experience securing GCP networking, including VPCs, firewall rules, and network segmentation.Experience with cloud security posture assessments and secure cloud architecture.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience; Terraform preferred.Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions.Desired:Experience working with Google Professional Services or enterprise cloud implementation projects.Experience with Google SecOps (Chronicle), Wiz, and AWS/Azure cloud securityGoogle Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certifications.
