Google Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud solutions using GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, and Cloud Run.
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Monitor performance, security, and cloud spending.
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and support application teams.
• Document cloud environments, processes, and configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 8+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading cloud migration and adoption efforts.
• Strong Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Bash skills.
• Knowledge of networking and cloud security.
• Google Cloud certification preferred.

6 month contract to hire position with a requirement to work onsite in Springfield, MO after conversion to a full-time employee.
