Primary Responsibilities
- Golf Shop Attendant / Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Register daily golf guests and provide information regarding Erin Hills facilities and services.
- Function as an active member of the Golf Shop team.
- Fold, restock, and maintain merchandise displays according to established standards.
- Manage the tee sheet, Point of Sale (POS) system, and other operational software.
- Sell merchandise while maintaining knowledge of products and sales techniques.
- Greet guests warmly and complete all registration procedures.
- Assist guests with questions, issues, and concerns while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Facilitate guest departures by providing accurate statements and collecting all payments due.
- Start and pick up guests participating in the Kettle Loop experience.
- Proactively engage with guests utilizing Erin Hills amenities and provide them with contact information for the Experience Concierge phone to ensure seamless service.
- Manager On Duty (MOD) Responsibilities:
- Work as the Manager on Duty, leading staff and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Resolve guest complaints and concerns while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Supervise daily Golf Shop operations.
- Communicate regularly with the Hospitality Manager and Buyer/Retail Manager.
- Monitor the status of daily and overnight guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Cookordinate with Housekeeping regarding room status and cleanliness.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed by staff before the end of each shift.
- Work with Reservationists to ensure accurate bookings for daily and overnight guests.
Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Apply physical dexterity with some bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding & carrying.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Position requires ability to frequently walk, sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- The ability to work productively at a desk/computer for 8 hours a day.
- Weekend & night availability.
- Personal Qualifications:
- Genuine customer service skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance including uniform and conduct.
- Self-motivated, punctual, detail oriented, and has a willingness to learn.
- Prior experience in the golf course, hotel, or club industry is preferred.
- Completed or enrolled in an accredited hospitality or PGM program is preferred.
- Previous golf management software and operating a POS system is preferred.
- Lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Availability to work a full season May - October.
