This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of the entire playing area of the golf course.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise subordinate employees in all phases of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilizing, and maintaining tees, fairways, greens, and roughs.
  • Oversee the cleaning, painting, and general repair of buildings, fences, bridges, and shelters that directly affect golf play.
  • Complete general landscaping projects.
  • Obtain and maintain a DOD Pest Management Certificate.
  • Apply working knowledge of chemicals used for insect, weed, and brush control.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
  • May be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check and a favorable suitability determination.
  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a medical examination.
  • May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Must reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca.

Qualifications

  • One (1) year of directly related work experience in all phases of golf course maintenance (e.g., maintenance, repair, and condition of the entire playing area).
  • Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position and should be two pages or less.

Pay

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost-of-living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
