This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of the entire playing area of the golf course.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise subordinate employees in all phases of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilizing, and maintaining tees, fairways, greens, and roughs.
- Oversee the cleaning, painting, and general repair of buildings, fences, bridges, and shelters that directly affect golf play.
- Complete general landscaping projects.
- Obtain and maintain a DOD Pest Management Certificate.
- Apply working knowledge of chemicals used for insect, weed, and brush control.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- May be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check and a favorable suitability determination.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a medical examination.
- May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card.
- Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Must reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of directly related work experience in all phases of golf course maintenance (e.g., maintenance, repair, and condition of the entire playing area).
- Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position and should be two pages or less.

Pay
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost-of-living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
