About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Golf Course Mechanic to join our turf maintenance team at Glenview Golf Course.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and sharpen a wide range of turf equipment, including greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and specialized reel units.
• Emphasize reel maintenance and precision sharpening to ensure consistent, high-quality cuts across greens, tees, and fairways.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues, and maintain accurate service records.
• Work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents to support daily course setup.

Requirements

• Prior experience in golf course maintenance or small engine repair is preferred.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with reel grinding (both spin and relief grinding), bedknife sharpening, and adjusting mowers for optimal height-of-cut and quality-of-cut standards.
• Reliability and attention to detail are essential.
