About the role
Grande Oaks Golf Club, located in Davie, FL, is seeking a Full-Time Golf Course Maintenance - Assistant in Training.
Essential Responsibilities
- Aid in mowing greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounding turf areas.
- Perform bunker maintenance including raking, edging, and debris removal.
- Operate hand tools and basic maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation checks, watering, and minor repairs.
- Help with landscape maintenance including trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control.
- Remove debris, leaves, and trash from the golf course and club grounds.
- Set up and break down golf course accessories including tee markers, ropes, and signage.
- Assist with fertilizer and chemical applications under supervision.
- Follow all golf course safety procedures and operational standards.
- Aid with special projects and tournament preparations as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Qualifications
- High school student, recent graduate, or individual interested in golf course maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn golf course maintenance practices and equipment operation.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation preferred.
- Golf knowledge is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Safety of operating maintenance tools and equipment.
Preferred Skills
- Interest in turfgrass management, landscaping, or golf operations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
