Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

Glenview Golf Course, located in Cincinnati, OH, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Golf Course Assistant Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains foreman, irrigations technician and other employees in the maintenance department
• Prepares weekly schedules for foreman, irrigations staff and other employees in the maintenance department
• Maintains inventory of all maintenance equipment and the use of the equipment, preventative maintenance schedule, and safety training
• Works closely with Superintendent in managing annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping
• Prepares and implements short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for the maintenance of the golf course
• Fertilizes, irrigates, and calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers as needed
• Implements Troon Human Resources guidelines
• Affords members updates on current and future maintenance activities

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• 3+ years of turf grass management experience preferred
• Supervisory experience required
• A four-year college degree preferred, but not required
• GCSAA Member or apprentice preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
• Basic computer skills – Word and Excel
• A strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business
• A high level of organization and efficiency with a keen attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay

$60,000 per year
