Golf Camp Counselor

Summary

Creates and implements new childcare programs specific to the location. Instructs and monitors various childcare activities, provides personal attention to guest’s needs, and ensures safety.

Essential Functions

• Takes primary responsibility for the health, wellbeing and happiness for children participating in the location’s childcare program.
• Recognizes and resolves individual or group issues or problems.
• Provides and supervises entertainment activities for children participating in the location’s childcare program.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of fitness equipment and facility.
• Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
• Performs special projects delegated by management.
• Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid/CPR/AED card.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Proven child care skills.
• Demonstrated outstanding customer service.
• Willingness to learn and perform new child care programs and activities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Drive and motivation.
• Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.

Education and Experience

• Must hold a current First Aid/CPR/AED card.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Proven child care skills.
• Demonstrated outstanding customer service.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• Regularly exercises, moves, jumps, stands, uses hands and fingers to handle, or feel.
• Frequently reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears.
• Occasionally sits, walks, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
