Camp Counselor
About the role
A Camp Counselor assists with animal care, heavy cleaning, play yard monitoring, and front desk duties. Primary Responsibilities include following Standard Operating Procedures in all duties, monitoring dogs in the play yard, maintaining a clean environment, feeding, cleaning cabins, lifting heavy items, constantly walking and interacting with dogs and team members, and maintaining a safe environment. Essential Skills include being extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality, able to work at a fast pace in a team environment, and having exceptional customer service skills. Must love dogs - the noise, the hair, the messes, the love, and the smiles!
Responsibilities
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures in all duties.
- Maintain a clean environment.
- Feed, clean cabins, lift heavy items.
- Constantly walk and interact with dogs and team members.
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Manage schedules and appointments.
- Check in and out dogs.
- Be active and attentive to dogs and pet parents, at all times.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years or older.
- Be able to lift dog food and supplies.
- Constantly walk and/or stand the entire shift.
Qualifications
Reporting to the Camp Manager. Available for hourly full-time and part-time positions. Must be able to work a flexible schedule - Camps are open 7 days/week, 6:30 am to 9:00 pm, weekends and holidays are required. Time off is permitted with advance notice.
