Camp Counselor

Job Summary

Pattison's Academy is seeking a passionate and driven Summer Camp Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for campers and ensuring our camp programming is individualized to their abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old

Responsibilities

• Sensitivity and flexibility to the needs of a diverse group of campers
• Ability to tailor summer camp program to target the goals of each camper, including but not limited to: Active participation in adaptive sports, music, arts/crafts
• Active participation in field trips out in the community
• Ensuring each child is socially, emotionally, and physically challenged through creative initiatives and suggestions
• Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
• Work closely and collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team
• Tend to the care of the camper’s personal hygiene needs, including oral feeding and toileting/diapering
• Absorb and sanitize equipment, furniture, and throughout the camp environment
• Participate in the beginning and end-of-day briefings with camp staff
• Uphold camp policies and maintain a positive, supportive attitude
• Collect data daily on camper goals
• Perform other related job duties as assigned
