About the Opportunity:The GOLANG SOFTWARE DEVELOPER role is focused on building and evolving the data collection agent and its supporting cloud services primarily using Go. This position is responsible for developing system services across multiple operating systems, improving software reliability and observability, and ensuring effective communication between customer environments and cloud platforms. The role contributes by enhancing the organization's ability to collect and normalize data from IT and print devices, directly supporting the core service offerings. Responsibilities:Develop applications across technology areas including web applications, APIs, web services, and database integration.Build and maintain customer-installed agents and supporting cloud services in Go.Develop system services for Windows, Linux, and macOS.Collect and normalize data from computers, networks, and print devices.Design communication and data flows between customer environments and the cloud.Debug and improve software spanning operating systems, networks, databases, and distributed services.Write tests covering concurrency, failures, retries, and other conditions.Implement observability tools to monitor and improve software performance.Create design proposals, technical investigations, and documentation.Operate containerized services using Azure and Kubernetes.Define problems, desired outcomes, and constraints before implementation; collaborate with engineers on impactful decisions.Utilize AI for research, prototyping, implementation, and review while maintaining accountability. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree with six years relevant experience, or equivalent.Familiarity with a technology stack including Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, HTTP, WebSockets, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, Azure Blob Storage, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and GitHub Actions.Experience delivering and supporting production software in Go.Preference for idiomatic Go using the standard library with minimal dependencies.Experience with concurrent, networked, and distributed systems including failure handling.Ability to investigate and understand unfamiliar systems before proposing solutions.Comfortable learning operating system, networking, and domain-specific details.Proficiency with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Datadog.Expertise in designing tests for real-world conditions.Effective use of AI in development with accountability for results.Strong product judgment and architectural thinking.Clear written and verbal communication of complex technical concepts. Pay Range and Compensation Package:$93,318 - $149,309 annuallyThe pay range listed for this position is based on candidate's skill level, experience, relevant licenses, and educational background.
