Go-to-Market Engineer
Founded in 2023, Tensec is a global fintech that enables small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to enter global trade and thrive by giving them access to global transaction banking solutions that are user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Tensec’s founders have driven startups from foundation to exit, built decacorns, and led global teams at companies such as PayPal, Credit Karma, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
We're putting together a world-class team to disrupt the $50 trillion cross-border B2B financial services industry by providing SMBs the financial strength to participate and win in the global economy. Our team is diverse and global, with members in San Francisco, New York, Miami, Monterrey, and São Paulo. We are funded by top venture capital firms including Quiet Capital, Costanoa Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Clocktower, and WillowTree, as well as prolific angels like Jason Pate (Chief Strategy Officer, Plaid) and Bora Chung (ex-Chief Experience Officer, Bill.com).
This role is open in Palo Alto, Miami, and New York following a hybrid model—we ask that you're in the office 3 days per week.
How We Work
We move fast, debrief quickly, and expect you to own your output. This is a dynamic company where we value speed and decisiveness over process. You'll have the context you need to make good decisions and the autonomy to make them.
About The Role
You’d build the system that finds our customers, qualifies them, reaches them, and gets smarter from every conversation we have—focusing on Brazil and Mexico. As the first engineer dedicated to this function, you’d design the system rather than inherit it. You’d report to our Global Head of GTM, who will be deeply involved in the work with you daily. You’ll partner closely with growth marketing, engineering, and country teams in Brazil and Mexico who know these customers well.
Responsibilities
- The outbound engine: Build the infrastructure for lists, scoring, sending, and sequencing. Identify signals that predict a good account and build the pipeline to find them. Own deliverability, including domains, warming, and inbox health. Transition this work in-house from an agency within your first six months.
- The sales execution layer: Create pre-call briefs for reps using CRM history, past calls, and market data. Automate post-call updates, follow-ups, and record-keeping from transcripts. Develop internal agents for research, account mapping, and reporting.
- The data foundation: Design our revenue data model, including objects, lifecycle stages, deduplication, and pipeline reporting. You’ll define the schema from scratch rather than inheriting one.
- The stack: Decide build-versus-buy trade-offs. Keep vendors where they add value and replace them where they don’t. Work closely with our compliance team to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements in three countries.
Requirements
- You’ve built systems that work and keep working, using tools like Python, TypeScript, or SQL. Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.
- You’ve worked close to revenue—built tools for sales teams, deployed models in production (not just demos), and understand prompt design, structured output, and error handling.
- You know how cold emails reach inboxes and what breaks when they don’t.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English. You’ll collaborate with Brazilian customers and a globally distributed team.
- Nice to have: Exposure to logistics, trade, or cross-border payments.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 15 days paid time off
- Learning and development budget
