GNC Engineer - REMOTE

About the role

This is a 100% remote, 12+ month contract position. The applicant will join a team of highly motivated Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineers in the design, development, test, implementation, and operation of spacecraft GNC systems for Low Earth Orbit space missions. We seek applicants who will fit well in this dynamic team while designing challenging GNC systems and developing GNC technologies crucial to space exploration.

• Navigation system integration & test
• Mission operation support and flight data analysis

Requirements

The applicant should have strong domain experience in navigation for space systems, with specialties in one or more of the following:

• Linear covariance analysis
• Sensor characterization and performance analysis with a focus on GPS and LiDAR sensors
• Fault detection, isolation, and recovery of navigation sensors
• Absolute and relative navigation using a variety of sensors
• Mission operations support and on-orbit flight analysis

Qualifications

• MS degree in a relevant technical field of study, plus at least 4 years of applicable experience or a PhD degree in a relevant technical field of study
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
• Experience with FSW (Flight Software) development and test, preferably in graphical development environments
• Experience with ground operations support software development and test
