GMS Buyer

Overview

Place and manage purchase orders for contract manufacturers based on firm production plans.

Cook up and oversee the procurement of labels, packaging components, and other materials necessary for manufacturing.

Maintain order frequency according to demand trends and reconcile SAP inventory with contract manufacturer inventory monthly.

Participate in ongoing training with Operations Finance to keep processes aligned.

Distribute weekly open-order reports and follow up on estimated time of arrival (ETA) and past-due purchase orders.

Keep track of incoming shipments daily to ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to handle additional order and operations reports as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement roles (additional experience may be considered based on the minimum experience specified).
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions and with external partners.
