About the role
GMF Steel Group’s Ironworker Apprenticeship Program helps recent high school graduates start their careers in the Construction Industry. You'll receive free classes once a week, get paid to learn, work 40 hours in the field, and there is no tuition fee.
Responsibilities
- Receive free classes once a week
- Get paid to learn
- Work 40 hours in the field
- Be eligible for company benefits after 90 days
- Participate in the GMF Steel Group 401(k) Plan with employer matching contributions
- Work 10-hour shifts on Monday-Thursday, or adjusted per workload
- Attend classes twice a month
Qualifications
- Able to work in high places and have a good sense of balance
- Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs. of equipment
- Willing to travel as required by the employer
- Must be 18 years old

Pay
- Apprentice I: $20.00
- Apprentice II: $22.00
- Apprentice III: $24.00-$26.00
- Apprentice IV: $26.00-$28.00
- Apprentice V: $28.00-$30.00
- Apprentice VI: $30.00-$32.00
Schedule
10-hour shifts on Monday-Thursday, or adjusted per workload.
