GME Residency Program Coordinator

About the role

The Residency Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Sports Medicine Fellowship residency program at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Your responsibilities include assisting in the development of the program curriculum, ensuring compliance with ACGME and specialty/subspecialty board policies and requirements, serving as a liaison for residents, and managing various administrative tasks such as onboarding, contract management, and budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty to develop and integrate core competencies into all educational activities.
• Evaluate resident morale and address concerns, connecting with GME resources.
• Act as the primary liaison for key stakeholders, internal and external.
• Serve as a member of residency committees and implement decisions and actions.
• Oversee the residency program budget and finalize annual program evaluations.
• Review, update, and implement program-specific policies and maintain program files.
• Compile and prepare reports for the Program Director, GME office, and accrediting bodies.
• Manage the training academic year lifecycle from recruitment to graduation.
• Assist with modifications to the training schedule as needed.
• Track and monitor: Resident procedure logs, conference attendance, faculty scholarly activity, faculty development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma Graduate General Studies
• Five (5) years of relevant experience

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
