GME Program Coordinator/UKHC
Job Summary
The GME Program Coordinator serves as the administrative coordinator for one or more graduate medical education (GME) programs. This position collaborates with the program director and the GME Office in the daily operational management of the program(s), as outlined in the ACGME Institutional, Common Program and Specialty Program Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education. This position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. This person will develop, initiate and/or direct a wide range of programmatic activities including program planning, project development and management, recruiting, updating policies, and using databases and residency management software system (MedHub). This position interacts with faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students and manages internal and external program relations.
This position is essential in training program operations and is a primary resource for learners, faculty and administrative staff, as well as liaison between the Residency Program Director, chief residents, residents, program faculty, GME Office, and affiliated teaching sites concerning residency program matters. This position is a requirement of the accrediting agency, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
This position supports the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. This is a Hybrid position.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Administrative support experience
- An associate’s degree and three years of administrative, office, or project support experience needed
- Willingness to obtain Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification within 3 years of hire date
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for a long period of time
