Essential Job Statements

Provide full administrative support for assigned GME program(s), ensuring compliance with VCU Health and ACGME standards.

Lead onboarding and training for new coordinators, including development of training plans and materials.

Serve as a mentor and resource during the transition period for new staff.

Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement improvements.

Facilitate cross-training to ensure seamless coverage across programs.

Maintain documentation and workflows to support standardized practices.

Participate in committees or initiatives focused on improving GME operations.

Cook up weekly coordinator meetings to ensure their assigned team is on target to achieve all deadlines set by GME and ACGME.

Monitor team’s performance on program related tasks and ensure team has the support to maintain compliance with deadlines and program’s needs.

Keep the Associate Administrator aware of any areas of concerns for all members of their team and their programs.

Performs other duties as assigned and/or participates in special projects to support the mission of VCUHS and the Department. Provides assistance to team members. Accepts alternate assignments, as required.

Employment Qualifications

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Licenses/Certifications: TAGME Certification Preferred
  • Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years related experience with GME program coordination or a related field

Other Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Required: Demonstrated success in cross-program collaboration and coverage.
  • Preferred: Experience developing training materials or leading onboarding initiatives.
  • Preferred: Prior supervisory experience, Healthcare experience.
  • Preferred: Combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
