About the role
Anesthesiologists/Academicians needed in Asheville, NC-BE A PART OF BUILDING A NEW RESIDENCY PROGRAM!
Responsibilities
- Play a significant role in the education and supervision of residents.
- Devote a significant portion of effort to resident education, supervising, teaching, evaluating, and providing formative feedback.
- Serve as core faculty, supporting leadership in developing, implementing, and assessing curriculum.
- Mentor residents and participate in non-clinical activities such as interviewing/selecting applicants, providing instruction, and various other duties.
Requirements
- Possess MD or DO degree and have 5-7 years experience in anesthesiology.
- Be certified by ABA and demonstrate clinical competence as a practicing Anesthesiologist.
- Have faculty experience, leadership, organizational, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrate ongoing academic achievements (publications/program development, research).
- Have 3 years of education and/or administrative experience in GME.
- Be appointed in good standing to the medical staff of Mission Hospital/HCA Anesthesia.
- Be licensed/licensable in NC and able to be credentialed at Mission Hospital.
