GME Anesthesiology Physician

About the Role

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking full-time anesthesiologists to play a significant role in the education and supervision of residents as part of a new residency program. This position involves devoting a substantial portion of effort to resident education, including supervising, teaching, evaluating, and providing formative feedback.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership in developing, implementing, and assessing the residency curriculum.
• Mentor residents and participate in non-clinical activities such as interviewing and selecting applicants.
• Provide instruction and engage in various academic duties.

Qualifications

• Possess an MD or DO degree with 5-7 years of experience in anesthesiology.
• Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) with demonstrated clinical competence.
• Have faculty experience, leadership, organizational, and administrative experience.
• Demonstrate ongoing academic achievements, including publications, program development, and research.
• 3 years of education and/or administrative experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME).
• Licensed or licensable in North Carolina and able to be credentialed at Mission Hospital.
