About the role

Button is building the future of the commerce-powered internet — enabling performance marketing and monetization at scale across marketplaces, brands, and creators. We create products that unlock new value at the intersection of discovery, engagement, and conversion. Our mission is to empower the companies shaping the creator and affiliate economy — fueling mobile growth through innovation and new paths to monetization.

This role is responsible for the performance, growth, and profitability of a portfolio of creator and brand accounts, with direct revenue accountability for a key book of business. It is a revenue role for someone who works inside accounts every day, thinks in unit economics, and creates urgency rather than waiting for it to appear. You will manage accounts end to end, including buying media daily across both sides of the book: on behalf of brands to boost creators and on behalf of creators to fund their own arbitrage.

Responsibilities

  • Own the health and growth of the portfolio, with primary success metric being volume of spend at break-even or above.
  • Buy and manage media directly in ad accounts daily, monitoring campaigns to identify what is working, what is breaking, and what needs to change before clients feel the impact.
  • Push brands and creators toward optimal whitelisting setups, creative rotations, and spend levels, even when they resist.
  • Coordinate with the internal team on creative approvals, creator and handle access, brand-safety requirements, and spend pacing.
  • Onboard new high-priority accounts quickly and set them up to grow from the first day.
  • Drive brands and creators to act by identifying performance blockers (creative, spend level, creator-brand match, handle access, attribution) and either fixing them or pushing the client to fix them.
  • Respond to issues within hours, treating every day of client inaction as a lost dollar.
  • Build and shape a small support team, including a brand product manager, creator product marketing manager, operations support, and a contract media buyer.
  • Develop a clear point of view on the roles, mix of full-time and part-time support, and capabilities needed to scale the portfolio.
  • Create a system for triaging accounts based on revenue at risk, urgency, and relationship health.
  • Establish processes for managing a high volume of accounts, tracking behavioral service levels (response time, contact frequency, creative acceptance rate) that impact performance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in paid social, performance marketing, advertiser success, account strategy, partnerships, or a related field.
  • Personally managed paid social spend of at least seven figures per month, working directly in the accounts rather than solely directing others.
  • Direct accountability for advertiser or brand spend, with a history of being bonused or otherwise incentivized for revenue driven.
  • Experience managing a complex portfolio of accounts with direct responsibility for performance, growth, and profitability.
  • In-depth understanding of auctions, creative testing, and attribution, including bid strategy, creative fatigue cycles, and audience dynamics.
  • Radical ownership over paid social outcomes, proactively identifying solutions when performance falls short.
  • Strong grasp of performance media unit economics, including gross profit, take rates, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders (media buying, creative, operations, product, client services).
  • Experience mentoring or directing others and identifying resources needed to support portfolio growth.
  • Ability to build processes and operate effectively in lean, rapidly changing, or unstructured environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creator whitelisting, boosting, or Spark and partnership ad workflows across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or other platforms.
  • Direct experience working with creators or talent, including managing handle access, creative rights, and creator-native performance.
  • Background in affiliate marketing, creator commerce, or media buying for arbitrage on your own account.
  • Experience onboarding new clients and rapidly bringing accounts to strong performance.

Benefits

  • 401(k) plan with a 3% automatic company contribution.
  • Unlimited time off, including birthdays, Summer and Winter Breaks, and an employee assistance program.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% of premiums covered for employees and 80% for dependents.
  • Complimentary One Medical memberships for employees and dependents.
  • Monthly stipend for mobile phone/internet and an annual lifestyle stipend.
  • WeWork “All Access” memberships and regular coworking days/social events in select markets.

Pay

Expected base salary range: $160,000 - $190,000, plus a performance-based gross profit bonus with upside tied directly to the profit generated across your book.
