What You'll Do
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives across a wide range of diverse custom-designed lifestyle products featured on shop.tesla.com
- Responsible for sourcing activities across Merchandise & Vehicle Accessories including: analyzing current spend & purchasing trends, developing should-cost analysis for NPI products launched, evaluating current suppliers, and identifying new high potential suppliers to develop sourcing alternatives
- Collaborate with multiple Tesla internal project managers under the Merchandise & Vehicle Accessories team to support their procurement needs, as well as evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers
- Own the execution of RFI's, RFP's and RFQ's - ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented – and evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in cost savings, avoidance, or containment
- Drive price negotiations processes to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing is best in class, and drive continual cost reduction/avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations
- Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities
- Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, evaluate supplier core competencies & competitive positioning using industry cost models, and identify supplier consolidation opportunities that will generate savings
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
- 2+ years of related work experience in Procurement or Consulting (preferable)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
- Ability to work cross-functionally among Engineering, Programs, and Finance teams
- Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel

Pay
- Expected Compensation $84,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
- The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
