Responsibilities

  • Communicate vision and purpose of the Stewardship Quality team.
  • Partner with Seeds leadership for effective quality processes across R&D and regulatory.
  • Deliver results for customer satisfaction, efficient internal processes, and a customer-focused quality culture.
  • Responsible for QMS and GLP QA strategy, risk mitigation, implementation, and auditing.
  • Implement risk-based audit plans for compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and external certifications, including ISO, Excellence Thought Stewardship (ETS), Plant Breeding Innovation Management program (PBI) and the Coalition for Responsible Gene Editing in Agriculture framework.
  • Lead R&D QMS Governance Team (RDGT). Ensure internal auditing processes (e.g., country audits) effectively drive best-in-class industry-leading Stewardship standards, with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Develop auditing strategies and capabilities for the out-licensing network.
  • Report performance against business partner focus areas, including metrics and KPIs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product/systemic quality failures.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation and records.
  • Own and administer the QMS document repository (named EQUIPT) for all Vylor. Manage training for all critical operational procedures (13-14k documents worldwide).
  • Identify and lead quality improvement projects, including technology-based tools and processes.
  • Define and develop organization, programs, budget, and resources to support business needs. Optimize the auditing functions considering the unique nature of auditing activities.
  • Coordinate external certifications and ensure accreditation.
  • Develop and implement quality training curriculums.
  • Demonstrate external influence through industry groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific or agricultural field (agronomy, biology, life science, plant breeding).
  • 15–20 years’ experience, with 10–15 years in agriculture.
  • 5 years’ experience in Quality Leadership and QMS (ISO, GLP/GMP, Integrated Management Systems).
  • External certification for Lead Auditor (ISO) or Certified Quality Management (ASQ) preferred.
  • English proficiency; other languages a plus.
