Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Americhem’s global sustainability strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.
- Manage and oversee the development and execution of environmental improvement plans and sustainability targets across Americhem’s global regions.
- Monitor evolving sustainability regulations, customer requirements, and industry trends to support regulatory preparedness, certification efforts, and long-term business strategy.
- Lead sustainability reporting initiatives, including EcoVadis, customer disclosures, KPI tracking, and annual sustainability reporting.
- Collaborate with technology, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to translate sustainability data and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) insights into operational improvements and customer value.
- Promote a culture of sustainability across the organization through stakeholder awareness initiatives, employee engagement programs, internal communications, training, and workshops.
- Support commercial and business development teams with sustainability-related resources, customer communications, and market-facing materials.
- Ensure adherence to international sustainability reporting standards and evolving regulatory requirements through transparent, accurate reporting and ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and public speaking engagements to showcase our sustainability leadership.
- Drive sustainability-driven market growth initiatives and OEM engagement opportunities across strategic business segments.
- Identify opportunities to leverage sustainability as a competitive differentiator through product innovation, customer engagement, and operational improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability consulting, environment management, or a related role.
- Demonstrated success integrating sustainability initiatives into commercial strategy, product development, and operational decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards including GRI, EcoVadis, GHG Protocol, Scope 1–3 emissions, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and/or Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) methodologies.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of corporate strategy, business operations and organizational functions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for sustainability and experience in driving change.
