Global Stewardship Quality Leader
About the Role
Join Vylor as a Global Stewardship Quality Leader and play a pivotal role in advancing agriculture through breakthrough science. This position leads global R&D Quality Management Systems (QMS), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Quality Assurance organizations, and Stewardship audit programs. You will develop and drive quality strategies to ensure customer focus, risk management, waste reduction, and efficiency gains, while providing expertise to functional, regional, and portfolio teams.
Responsibilities
- Communicate the vision and purpose of the Stewardship Quality team.
- Partner with Seeds leadership to implement effective quality processes across R&D and regulatory functions.
- Deliver results for customer satisfaction, efficient internal processes, and foster a customer-focused quality culture.
- Lead QMS and GLP QA strategy, risk mitigation, implementation, and auditing.
- Implement risk-based audit plans for compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and external certifications (ISO, ETS, PBI, and CRGEA).
- Lead the R&D QMS Governance Team (RDGT) and ensure its critical functions support Vylor’s day-to-day operations.
- Develop and execute auditing strategies for the out-licensing network.
- Report performance against business partner focus areas, including metrics and KPIs.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product/systemic quality failures.
- Maintain compliance with documentation and records, including managing the QMS document repository (EQUIPT) and training for critical procedures.
- Identify and lead quality improvement projects, including technology-based tools and processes.
- Define and develop organization, programs, budget, and resources to support business needs.
- Coordinate external certifications and ensure accreditation.
- Develop and implement quality training curriculums.
- Demonstrate external influence through industry groups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or agricultural field (agronomy, biology, life science, plant breeding).
- 15–20 years of experience, with 10–15 years in agriculture.
- 5 years of experience in Quality Leadership and QMS (ISO, GLP/GMP, Integrated Management Systems).
- External certification for Lead Auditor (ISO) or Certified Quality Management (ASQ) preferred.
- English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
