Responsibilities

  • Alarm Monitoring: Operators monitor all physical security equipment on a global basis to ensure the physical security of all employees, contingents, and office spaces.
  • Access Management: Operators manage day to day access to all company facilities, ensuring compliance with customer, auditorial, and company policy.
  • CCTV System: Operators manage the companies CCTV system and process video footage request.
  • Provide access management to all company facilities.
  • Conduct alarm monitoring for Open Text facilities.
  • Manage all video footage requests in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage all access report requests in accordance with company policy.
  • Notify the appropriate personnel in an emergency.
  • Notify, direct, and assist emergency personnel in the event of an emergency.
  • Liaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency.
  • Directing visitors to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor and control removal of company and personal property.
  • Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities.
  • Manage the day-to-day requirements for the Companies Anti-tailgating program.
  • Evaluate and recommend improved procedural safety/security protocols or processes.
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports.
  • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks).
  • Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed.
  • Comfortable in an environment where there is an expectation for constant learning.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Compile, sort, and interpret data.
