Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the global subject matter expert for the New Air inflatable bubble extrusion process and related capital equipment.
- Lead process optimization efforts to improve throughput, yield, product consistency, energy efficiency, and scrap reduction.
- Own technical standards, process parameters, and equipment specifications for the platform.
- Support the design, development, installation, commissioning, and qualification of new capital equipment.
- Drive equipment reliability, uptime, and maintainability through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Partner with manufacturing sites to troubleshoot process and equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Lead or support capital projects, equipment upgrades, line relocations, and process transfers.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve machine design, controls, and automation.
- Evaluate and recommend process or equipment changes to improve safety, quality, and total cost of ownership.
- Support global rollout of best practices, standards, and lessons learned across all applicable sites.
- Analyze process data and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership during trials, validations, and scale-up activities.
- Lead the industrialization of HRC efforts globally, understanding formulations and their impacts on the plants.
- Identify Maintenance best practices and define global maintenance standards including predictive, preventative, and reactive.
- Create roadmap of KPIs to be tracked and monitored as well as industry4/5.0 roadmap for the platform.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and corporate engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering, capital equipment engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong background in extrusion, film processing, converting, or related continuous manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience with capital equipment design, specification, installation, and commissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive process improvement.
- Experience working in a global manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel significantly, including globally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PLCs, controls, automation, sensors, and machine safety systems.
- Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management for capital equipment and manufacturing expansion projects.
