About the role
The Global Parts Pricing Analyst I supports Emerson's global aftermarket growth by enabling data-driven, competitive, and profitable parts pricing. Reporting to the Global Parts Pricing Manager, this role partners with cross-functional teams to analyze pricing data, apply analytical tools, and support the development and maintenance of pricing models used across the business.
Responsibilities
- Apply data analytics and established pricing tools to support the global parts pricing organization, improving pricing accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of parts pricing models and analytical tools under the guidance of senior pricing resources.
- Analyze pricing and transactional data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and support regular pricing reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Product Management, Operations) to gather, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Review technical drawings and part specifications to understand mechanical characteristics and ensure accurate pricing inputs.
- Prepare clear analyses and summaries to communicate pricing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, related field, OR in the absence of a degree, equivalent experience.
- Data & Pricing Analytics: Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret pricing and transactional data using enterprise systems (Oracle or equivalent) to support parts pricing decisions and strategies.
- Preferred Qualifications: AI/ML development experience beneficial. Analytical Tools Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and basic SQL is preferred. Pricing & Financial Acumen: Foundational understanding of pricing concepts, margin analysis, and sales financial measures as applied to aftermarket parts. Problem Solving & Quality Focus: Proven problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity in analytical outputs. Technical / Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and part specifications to support accurate pricing and model development. Communication & Collaboration: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global team environment and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
