Job Summary

The Global Mobility team supports the successful transition, integration, and ongoing experience of international healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the United States. The Global Mobility Specialist III plays a crucial role in preparing HCPs for their assignments and ensuring they are culturally, emotionally, and logistically ready.

About the Role

This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive pre-arrival and post-arrival support services through various means, including webinars, one-on-one calls, and personalized guidance as part of the Avant Transitions Program (ATP).

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Serve as a trusted representative of Avant Healthcare Professionals, building rapport and confidence with HCPs throughout their transition lifecycle.
  • Educate HCPs prior to arrival through webinars, virtual sessions, and individual calls, providing tools and resources for cultural understanding, professional expectations, and logistical readiness.
  • Provide structured support during the first 90 days of an HCP’s assignment through scheduled check-in calls, addressing concerns and promoting cultural and workplace integration.
  • Offer ongoing support beyond the initial 90 days, responding to HCP-initiated requests and proactively engaging when necessary.
  • Support HCPs in adapting to U.S. workplace norms, expectations, and community engagement, addressing challenges from a cultural assimilation and lifestyle adjustment perspective.
  • Deliver continued education and guidance via live presentations, small group discussions, and individual sessions, promoting long-term assignment success.
  • Develop and maintain educational content, resources, and materials to support HCPs’ needs and navigate assignment-related challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems, capturing all communications, case notes, and support activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address challenges, escalate concerns, and implement tailored solutions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external vendors to support HCP needs and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to contribute updates, insights, and collaborative problem-solving.

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with standard business hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time may be needed to complete essential functions.

Education, Training and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in counseling, customer service, global mobility, or a related field.
  • Experience working with international populations or living outside the U.S. preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an understanding of the unique needs of international personnel.

Physical Demands

  • Stationary desk work for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to communicate.
  • Infrequent lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs.
  • Regularly required to use close vision and adjust focus.
  • Work in a professional office environment.
