About the role

The Global Marketing and Communications Specialist supports the promotion of 180 Degrees Consulting's global community and programmes through creative, audience-focused marketing initiatives. This role works within the Community & Programs portfolio, leading the execution of digital campaigns, social media content, and community engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design creative visual content that aligns with 180 Degrees Consulting's brand identity and guidelines.
  • Led the ideation, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns that promote Community & Programs initiatives and organisational impact.
  • Manage and grow engagement across global social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Brainstorm, develop, and present innovative content ideas that resonate with audiences and generate measurable results.
  • Create and edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with branches across the global network to showcase local initiatives, achievements, events, and impact stories.
  • Develop content for websites, newsletters, email communications, and social media channels.
  • Support the promotion of community initiatives, campaigns, and events through integrated marketing efforts.
  • Cook up and execute creative marketing campaigns aligned with organisational objectives and key moments throughout the year.
  • Monitor and analyse channel performance using tools such as Meta Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, Instagram Insights, and Google Analytics.
  • Identify audience trends and provide recommendations to optimise future campaigns and strengthen engagement.
  • Coordinate and execute digital community-building initiatives that foster connection, recognition, and participation across the 180 Degrees Consulting network.

Requirements

  • Creativity and initiative, with the ability to transform ideas into engaging campaigns and content.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Confidence to contribute ideas, receive feedback constructively, and continuously improve outputs.
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and adaptability in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Tenacity and persistence when coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Proficiency with visual content tools such as Canva Pro, CapCut, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a globally dispersed virtual team.

Desired Attributes

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software.
  • Experience in social media management, digital marketing, community management, or content marketing.
  • Understanding of audience growth strategies, social media trends, and marketing analytics.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Passion for the non-profit sector and enthusiasm for communicating stories of social impact.
