About the role

The Global Strategic Partnerships Specialist helps build and maintain relationships with organizations that share our mission. This role focuses on identifying potential partners, developing proposals, and maintaining strong relationships with existing supporters.

You may work with companies, foundations, universities, non-profits, and other organizations that can help strengthen 180 Degrees Consulting's impact. You do not need to have done this exact role before. However, you should be comfortable communicating professionally, building relationships, and following through on commitments. This is an opportunity to gain international experience in partnership development while contributing directly to the sustainability and growth of a global non-profit network.

Responsibilities

  • Research organizations that align with 180 Degrees Consulting's mission and identify potential partnership opportunities.
  • Reach out to prospective partners through email, meetings, and presentations.
  • Support the preparation of partnership proposals and sponsorship materials tailored to the interests and priorities of potential partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing global partners.
  • Work with colleagues across the Global Leadership Team to understand organizational priorities and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Keep records of partnership conversations, actions, and next steps.
  • Contribute ideas to strengthen and improve 180 Degrees Consulting's partnership approach.
  • Represent 180 Degrees Consulting professionally in meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Support partnership renewal conversations and help identify opportunities to deepen collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience in partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising, business development, account management, sales, customer success, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of 180 Degrees Consulting.
  • Able to commit approximately 7–10 hours per week for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Confidence communicating professionally with a range of stakeholders.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships over time.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage tasks independently and follow through on commitments.
  • Reliability in meeting agreed deadlines and responding to communications.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a global, remote team.
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and the ability to attend virtual meetings.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience drafting proposals, presentations, or outreach materials.
  • Experience working or volunteering in the non-profit, social impact, education, or consulting sectors.
  • Previous involvement with 180 Degrees Consulting.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Confidence presenting ideas and facilitating discussions.
  • Experience using CRM systems or maintaining stakeholder records.

This is a volunteer position and does not provide financial compensation. The role offers flexibility in how you structure your time around the agreed weekly commitment. Meetings are conducted virtually to accommodate our globally distributed team.
