Responsibilities

  • Define and own the Scientific Platforms roadmap, redefining "scientific exchange" from static communication to the design of how science is experienced and consumed by HCPs, patients, and payers across all channels.
  • Lead the strategic design and incubation of GenAI content creation, Immersive medical education and emerging scientific engagement technologies.
  • Build the vision for omnichannel scientific engagement, coordinating with GTMC to ensure standardized, scalable, and compliant deployment across Hubs and markets globally.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging content technologies, immersive platforms (AR/VR), and AI-driven communication tools for applicability to Sanofi's medical strategy and scientific communication needs.
  • Design platform architectures that enable personalized scientific content delivery at scale, meeting HCPs where they are in their learning and decision-making journey.
  • Define the KPI and impact measurement framework for scientific platform use cases, establishing clear success criteria before handoff to operational teams (Field Excellence, Scientific Communications).
  • Function as the primary incubator for scientific platform innovations — partner with Digital to scout and evaluate technologies, design use cases, define KPI frameworks, and manage proof-of-concept initiatives end-to-end.
  • Lead the selection of specific AI and immersive technology use cases for scientific platforms in collaboration with the Global Head of Medical Innovation and Digital AI partners.
  • Design and lead end-to-end use cases for scientific platform tools — from use case definition and vendor/partner engagement through proof-of-concept delivery and readiness assessment for scale.
  • Define success metrics and adoption frameworks for new scientific platforms before recommending transition to global scale-up by operational pillars.
  • Collaborate with Scientific Communications and Field Excellence to ensure smooth handoff of incubated platforms for global operational deployment.
  • Track platform performance post-"test & Learn Phase," capturing adoption data, stakeholder feedback, and scientific impact metrics to inform continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the embedded scientific platforms partner to Medical GBUs, ensuring platform designs reflect GBU-specific scientific communication priorities and HCP engagement needs.
  • Collaborate with GTMC to align omnichannel scientific engagement strategies, ensuring platform outputs integrate seamlessly with field and digital engagement models.
  • Represent the Scientific Platforms function in the Medical Innovation Council, informing governance decisions on platform investments, vendor selections, and scaling milestones.
  • Partner with Digital AI teams on technical architecture, vendor build, and platform integration, ensuring medical use case requirements are translated into robust technical specifications.
  • Engage external technology partners, academic institutions, and content innovation ecosystems to source and co-develop next-generation scientific platform capabilities.
  • Communicate platform strategy, use case progress, and impact results clearly to senior leadership, translating complex technical concepts into compelling medical value narratives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Medical Education, or Digital Health with a focus on platform or content innovation within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare.
  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or Master's in life sciences or related field) preferred; additional qualifications in Digital Health, Instructional Technology, or AI are a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-powered content platforms, immersive medical education technologies, or omnichannel medical communications in a global or cross-functional setting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder platform innovation projects in global, matrixed pharmaceutical environments.
  • Familiarity with GenAI content tools, immersive technologies (AR/VR), or medical education platforms.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to influence senior Medical, Digital, and Commercial leadership and present complex ideas with confidence.
