This role can be based in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA, or New York City, NY. A track record of implementing change in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and daily team management, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Approve all playbook and procedure changes to ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Review operational and safety risks and execute strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Serve as the point of contact for government agencies, professional health, safety, and environmental organizations, community advisory boards, and internal safety efforts.
  • Provide senior management with information about health, safety, and environmental issues, compliance, trends, performance, and concerns.
  • Ensure all regulatory compliance needs are met across all accounts.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of multiple disciplines, business, and key drivers impacting departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Persuade managers and colleagues to act in alignment with the organization’s functional business plans.
  • Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers to reach common goals.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems using appropriate resources.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 8–12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments’ results.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

  • The minimum salary for this position is $195,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $250,000 annually.
  • Compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
