Global Document Services Lead - Workflow
About the Role
The Global Document Services Lead - Workflow is an integral part of Latham's Global Document Services team (GLODOCS). This role will be responsible for the department's readiness and ability to provide high-quality and on-time delivery of document services to attorneys, paralegals and legal professionals with optimal customer service, while coordinating department workflow, intaking document work requests, clarifying instructions, negotiating deadlines, communicating job statuses, maintaining the ServiceNow job queue, assigning work to team members, assuming project lead role on complex/multishift requests, and assuring that deadlines are met.
This role will be located in either our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Silicon Valley or Austin office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. The schedule for this role is Thursday – Sunday 2:30 pm – 1:00 am Pacific Time.
Responsibilities
- Supporting core document services as well as specialized services, such as Proofreading, Translation, and Closing Sets
- Coordinating with other teams and partnerships where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures and communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs
- Scheduling weekend and holiday coverage
- Acting as point of escalation to leadership
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of applications typically used in a legal word processing environment: MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, iManage, ABBYY FineReader, MS Visio, and other software
- Knowledge of specialized tools such as Best Authority, Contract Companion, Litéra Compare, DocXtools, Snagit, Adobe Photoshop, MS Publisher, Remote Assistant, and various real estate forms packages
- Thorough understanding of the intricacies of documents and work requests, including troubleshooting for solutions
- Ability to write clear and complete job instructions and accurately estimate job durations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm, preferably
- Minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
- Microsoft certifications in Word Expert, Excel, and PowerPoint, preferably

Pay
USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
