Global Customs and Compliance Manager

About the role

Join INNIO in Waukesha, WI as a Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager and play a key role in ensuring global trade compliance, optimizing customs processes, and driving supply chain efficiency across our international operations.

Responsibilities

• Realize potential savings through the optimization of the supply chain and the associated customs burden
• Prepare and submit customs declarations and other required documentation
• Communicate with government agencies to resolve customs-related issues
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customs transactions
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with customs regulations and the commerce control list
• Classify and value imported goods in accordance with customs regulations
• Stay up-to-date on changes in customs regulations and procedures

Requirements

• Certification as a Customs Specialist (e.g. Certified Customs Specialist or Customs Broker License)
• Experience with trade agreements (e.g. Free Trade Agreements, USMCA, etc.)
• Knowledge of import/export regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements
• 5+ years of experience in customs clearance and compliance
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance procedures
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software (Oracle)
• Competence to explain complex regulations in simple, clear language while maintaining a customer-first approach

Qualifications

• A degree or certification in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field
