About the role
The Global Controller at General Intuition will oversee all aspects of US accounting, reporting, and compliance. This includes managing day-to-day bookkeeping, leading month-end close processes, automating workflows, and coordinating with auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Owning the general ledger and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in US GAAP, including revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, and reconciliations.
- Managing US federal and state corporate tax, international tax, quarterly estimates, filings, cross-border entity structures, and transfer pricing, coordinating with external advisors and staying ahead of regulatory changes.
- Leading payroll compliance, including payroll taxes, filings, and managing the PEO/provider relationship.
- Driving audits and reporting, including annual financial statements, audit preparation, investor updates, and due diligence, as well as building management dashboards and variance analyses for strategic decision-making.
- Building and automating scalable finance processes across accounting, billing, payroll, and reporting, using modern AI tools to reduce manual work and minimize error risk.
- Ensuring the finance function operates efficiently and effectively, with a focus on policy and internal controls to support accuracy and speed.
Requirements
- Mastery of US GAAP and strong US + international tax knowledge.
- Experience in leading month-end close processes, automating workflows, and coordinating with auditors.
- Hands-on experience with US and international tax, including quarterly estimates, filings, cross-border entity structures, and transfer pricing.
- Experience in payroll compliance, including payroll taxes, filings, and managing the PEO/provider relationship.
- Experience in driving audits and reporting, including annual financial statements, audit preparation, investor updates, and due diligence.
- Experience in building and automating scalable finance processes, using modern AI tools to reduce manual work and minimize error risk.
- Experience in standing up a finance function from scratch.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in accounting, preferably including Big 4 or public accounting.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
- Strong experience with US and international tax, including multi-entity structures and complex reconciliations.

Pay
$180K - $250K
