Job Description
As a Global Category Director, you will serve as a high-impact individual contributor reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain. You will be the end-to-end owner of the 7-step strategic sourcing process for your assigned category, transforming complex data and market insights into aggressive, actionable procurement strategies. From initial spend analysis and market research to the execution of high-stakes negotiations and contract management, you will drive value across Tower’s global entities and joint ventures. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor and leadership; you will spearhead global category meetings, collaborate with Engineering and R&D on cost-improvement projects, and maintain robust business continuity plans. By leveraging structured scorecards and business reviews, you will ensure long-term supplier performance, compliance, and operational excellence that directly impacts the organization’s bottom line.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- Must have supply chain and category management understanding and experience.
- Must have technical background and familiarity with Semiconductor Fabrication.
- Must have experience with chemicals and/or bulk and cylinder gases.
- Process Engineering or similar fab experience would be preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Fluent in Hebrew or Japanese would be nice.
- Understanding of corporate financial analysis.
- Negotiation skills.
- Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Strong sense of urgency in resolving issues.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
