Job Responsibilities

Provides customer insight, competitor intelligence, product trends and industry developments to fully understand the relevant market.
Identifies market needs for new products, processes, and technologies.
Keeps abreast of Magna’s global capabilities for products, processes, and techniques.
Recommends initiatives for technology transfer, continuous improvement, and innovation development objectives.
Utilizes strategic roadmap to guide development toward commercial opportunities aligned to strategy.
In conjunction with strategic quoting initiatives and the relevant divisions, leads the development and execution of a successful roadmap for pursuit of new business targets to business plan.
Supports the identification of key business opportunities and align business plan inputs to achieve strategic initiatives.
Analyzes target pursuit opportunities to generate and substantiate priorities to review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or other relevant area of study. MBA or relevant business experience preferred.
  • Special Knowledge – Engineering, product design and manufacturing, business case development and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An internationalist, able to complete self-directed tasks and work autonomously.
  • Able to communicate in English and local language including fluency with automotive technical terminology.
  • Experience – 8-10+ years of experience in a technical and/or business capacity with 2 years of experience in business development or sales.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and automotive or relevant other industry required.
