About the role
We are currently looking for a Global Accounts Executive to join our team in New York, NY. As a strategic business developer, you will expand and deepen revenue-generating activities at multi-geographic and multi-sector client locations, ensuring long-term account growth. You will serve as the central point person for all activities on accounts, coordinating local resources and support to meet client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and manage a business plan focusing on long-term growth for assigned global accounts.
- Set strategy for expanding and developing new business within multiple levels, departments, and geographical client locations to meet quota and product mix goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business and their short and long-term objectives; build strategic plans to help clients achieve these objectives.
- Provide subject matter expertise on application knowledge and develop key decision-maker relationships.
- Foster trust through meaningful, value-add engagements and value propositions.
- Orchestrate a team of internal resources and specialists to grow business and address client needs, utilizing Haworth tools and resources to close business.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with distribution partners on global accounts sales strategy, development, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with partners on multi-sector opportunities to establish workspace consistency models for global-wide purchasing and contract agreements.
- Travel up to 80% to meet face-to-face with clients, influencers, and dealers.
- Use office automation, communication software, and tools in the Haworth office environment.
- Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communications, or equivalent.
- Education equivalency options:
- Associate's degree plus 2 years of related experience, or
- High school diploma plus 4 years of related experience.
- 7 years of experience in consultative business-to-business selling, solutions-based sales with a history of managing large-sized clients and delivering complex solutions (with a Bachelor's Degree).
- 5 years of experience in consultative business-to-business selling, solutions-based sales with a history of managing large-sized clients and delivering complex solutions (with a Master's Degree).
- Military experience may be considered as equivalent.
- Ability to work in New York, NY without relocation assistance.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience in contract office furniture or commercial interiors.
- Experience in commercial real estate, project management, or architecture & design.
Pay
This role offers a salary range of $160,000–$180,000, depending on candidate experience, education, and skill set. For eligible roles, sales incentive bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
