Global Account Manager, AWS Retail/Restaurants/CPG
About the role
The Global Account Manager (GAM) will provide global business leadership and manage AWS’s relationships with the world’s largest retail companies. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects, and engage virtual resources. The role involves defining a CxO relationship strategy, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction with AWS senior leadership support.
Responsibilities
- Team with the customer’s C-suite to build strategic relationships across the account, articulate a clear vision, and generate enthusiasm.
- Sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
- Collaborate with AWS resources (Executives, Solutions Architects, Partners, Support, Service teams, and Professional Services) to support customer interests.
- Provide dotted-line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Experience representing AWS within the customer’s environment and driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation.
- Experience creating and implementing long-term transformational account strategies in a customer-facing role or equivalent.
- AWS Professional level certification, or experience translating technical aspects of analysis and metrics into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading and influencing the data strategy of your team or organization.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and influencing colleagues, collaborators, and stakeholders.
- Experience with problem-solving and disruptive innovation, developing technology programs, and working across customer organizations.
- Competitive knowledge: Understanding of GCP and Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or equivalent.
- Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in software development.
- Knowledge of AWS or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.

Pay
- USA, GA, Atlanta: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
- USA, MA, Boston: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
- USA, NY, New York: $157,100.00 - $212,600.00 USD annually
- USA, TN, Nashville: $128,600.00 - $173,900.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
